@Doctor-Phibes said in Good news for Mark and me: Bloody hell, Mark - Spyro Gyra's a name I haven't heard in decades. Long ago I had a 10" single of Morning Dance, at least I think it was. Smoooooooth. One of my all time favorites!

Would prefer to see the full clip, although I cringe based on the grammar she's displayed so far. Rambling worse than Trump!

I do this a lot, wonder about word origins, or phrase origins, and then look them up. Sometimes in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep : ‘A unicorn isn't called a "unihorn" because the word comes from Latin (unicornis) meaning "one horn," borrowing "uni-" (one) and "-cornu" (horn), and English adopted the whole word wholesale, even though "horn" is Germanic, creating a Latin prefix with a Germanic root, making "unicorn" the standard, descriptive, and ancient name. "Unihorn" is just a modern, less common variation, as the original myth adopted the Latin-derived term long ago. ‘

Not so much having avoided crypto vs. avoiding a life of crime based on stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from people willing to carry out such atrocities.

That makes just how many “greatest” con jobs he thinks there are out there deserving the superlative? Normally it is limited to one, but in Trump’s universe I guess there are a multitude.

So a few notes so far through the process: The Good It’s been very simple. Paperwork took 3 minutes. I was told that they are typically more expensive than a dealer, but less than Carmax. I tried looking up similar miles and aged Genesis within 100 miles. I only found two less expensive. One was a 90 minute drive away and was a coupe version for $200 less, and the other was one of those shady shops that buy at auction and repair. CarMax, on the other hand, was about $2K more for similar cars. My mechanic told me this morning that while the inspection process isn’t full proof, he’s never seen a major issue, and the small stuff Carvana took care of easily… The Bad - I realized we had a commitment for my pickup time on Sunday, so I tried to shift it later in the afternoon. When I did that, all of the slots for the afternoon were already taken AND the system released my earlier reservation, making Monday my first option. I am trying to finagle a Sunday slot… While I’m not financing, I was surprised to see the rate offer. It was at 7.6. My credit score is top tier though it does have some usage issues with co-signing Luke’s loans. I read the bank they use is pretty high. I will definitely secure my own financing if buying something more expensive in the future. It looks like their extended warranty coverage through SilverRock has mixed reviews. At $80 per month, I might forego that…

Oh this reminds me a bit too of that show Alone where contestants are dropped into a remote area of a forest and it's remarkable how fast they get lean and skinny when all they drink is water and all they eat is fish and maybe a rabbit or two.

The silver lining is if the videos ever surface of D’Oh and his sheep friends he can laugh and call it a deep fake.

@Axtremus said in I liked this quote: Ask the question the other way: can you think of marriages where the couples are "happy" and yet not viewed as "good" by third parties? The royals, the gays, the interracial, the interfaith, the old+rich marrying the young+beautiful, etc. If I wanted to play word games I'd be logged into Squaredle
